INDUSTRY.co.id - Madiun - Three ministers from the Working Cabinet visited PT Industri Kereta Api (PT INKA) in Madiun, East Java to review the completion of the "trainset" or LRT series that will be used for the 2018 Asian Games in Palembang.

The three ministers are Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.

"The result of our review, INKA is extraordinary and excellent, I am sure LRT completion is on time," said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya to reporters during his visit at PT INKA Madiun, Tuesday (29/5/2018)

According to him, of the eight LRT trainset prepared for the Asian Games, currently two units have arrived in Palembang. The remaining six LRT trainset are in the process of final stage of workmanship.

"LRT that has not been sent to Palembang has six trainset again, it will be sent from now and by the end of June," said Budi.

It is targeting on 30 June 2018 all LRT trainset must have arrived in Palembang and can be used.

In the review the minister's group looked directly at the final work of the LRT train to be used for the Asian Games in Palembang.

In addition to reviewing the process of workmanship LRT, Budi and his entourage also provide motivation to the ranks of employees of PT INKA.

Budi asserted, it continues to provide support and motivation because INKA is currently working on many work orders. Hopefully, INKA continues to keep its products competitive.

"We hope this can be Indonesia's flagship product, we support and also motivate INKA to continue to make competitive efforts that are cheap, good and punctual," he said.
