INDUSTRY.co.id - Pekanbaru - President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), Muhammad Awaluddin, hopes that the plan to fly airline pilot Garuda Indonesia should not interfere with Eid transportation services because this year there are estimated about 6.2 million people will use the services of the state-owned company.
"Hopefully not disturb the activities of the people who will return to their hometown," said Muhammad Awaluddin during a sudden inspection at Sultan Syarif Kasim Airport (SSK) II, Pekanbaru City, Friday (1/6/2018)
He admitted that he is still monitoring the latest developments on Garuda Indonesia's internal problems. Nevertheless, he hoped that Garuda Indonesia pilot fly plan will not harm the people who become the users of Eid transportation.
"We hope fellow airport community actors, let's keep it together, we serve all, serve the people who will go home and come back. Our hope, we have good cooperation," he said as quoted Between
In this year, he continued, AP II predicts that the number of Eid passengers who will use the airports they manage will reach 6.2 million people. The number shows there is a growth of about 8-9 percent compared to last year's number of passengers reached 5.56 million people.
Previously, the Garuda Pilot Association (APG) confirmed that 1,300 pilots and 5,000 Garuda Indonesia crews will take action in the near future, including during Eid homecoming.
All Garuda crew and employees who are members of the Garuda Employees Union (Sekarga), numbering 10 thousand people, conduct a mass strike at the appointed time.
APG and Sekarga have submitted their strike plans and demands to the government a year ago. The same thing they did on May 2 and then give the government time to 30 working days.
Employee demands only want the government to follow up their demands, one of which make a reshuffle to the SOE directors.
Chairman of Sekarga Ahmad Irfan Nasution had mentioned one of the reasons for the strike was the mediation between employees and directors of Garuda did not meet the intersection. Whereas mediation is needed to discuss the company's losses of up to 213.4 million US dollars or around Rp2, 88 trillion in 2017, which is suspected due to failure of directors in managing the company.
