INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- PT Kereta Api Indonesia will build a railway line from the last station of Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train, which is Tegalluar Station to connect to downtown Bandung.

President Director of PT KAI Edi Sukmoro observed a series of airport trains at Balai Yasa, Manggarai, Jakarta, Tuesday (8/15/2017) said the route from Cimekar to Bandung is already available, so stay connected from Tegalluar to Cimekar.

"We have sent a letter to the governor, here we wait and it has been submitted to the governor," he said.

Edi added the location has been set, the total distance from Tegalluar to Cimekar, which is two to three kilometers.

He explained the value of investment needed to work on the project, which is Rp150 billion per kilometer.

However, he said there are alternatives, namely the "light rail transit" (LRT) train in accordance with the direction of Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Rini Soemarno.

Edi explained that if made into LRT will continue until downtown Bandung, to Paris van Java-Bandung Institute of Technology-Padjadjaran-Dukomesel University.

"It is planned to be a loop, our shadow will be detailed, so entering the city of Bandung, it goes straight into PVJ (paris van java mall), crossing to ITB, ITB to Unpad, then Dukomsel, down again laplas back," he said.

However, this time Edi said is still reviewed related two alternatives.

The construction of the Jakarta KA Rapid Jakarta construction started on 7 July where the first stone laying was done in Walini, West Java.
