INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Director General of Industrial Zoning Development (PPI) of the Ministry of Industry, Imam Haryono, said 21 delegates from Chinese companies are currently targeting investment in various industrial areas in Indonesia. The investors are interested to develop industrial area outside Java Island.
"Some are interested in entering the industrial area, most want to develop industrial area," said Imam in Jakarta (13/7/2017).
As is known, the government is focusing on building industrial areas outside Java, such as in North Sumatra, North Sulawesi and North Kalimantan. "The government exposes some industries outside Java," he explained.
Imam further explained, we offer three industrial estates, but we also expose other industrial areas outside Java Island along with the incentives they will receive. "The 21 delegates included in the 50 biggest investors of China will then meet B to B (Business to Business) with a number of companies from Indonesia to make business memorandum of understanding," said Imam.
Despite not mentioning the value of investments that will be invested in Indonesia, Imam said they are very interested to invest here. "They have technology, capital and network, and if we have abundant natural resources, adequate markets and human resources that will continue to be improved, it is a good collaboration to increase added value," concluded Imam.
