Highlights
  • Summer Bear includes a working surfboard, flip-flops, a flowery shirt and a shark tooth necklace.
  • Rapper Bear includes a hoodie, stylish glasses, a golden watch and a giant gold necklace.
  • Both launched in the Pierre Music Kit Vol.1 DLC in version 11.0.0 on April 5, 2024.
  • Since Update 13.0, the kit has been sold as a bundle at Capitalos' shop, the blue one.
  • The item system added in 11.0.0 allows multiple items per body part, so the two looks can be mixed.

Of the four outfits in Pierre Music Kit Vol.1, Summer Bear and Rapper Bear get the least attention, even though Summer Bear comes with a working surfboard. Rapper Bear has a gold necklace that, according to the developer, must be really heavy to carry.

After Sheriff Bear and Night Bear, these two complete the DLC's lineup. This guide draws on the official Earthkwak Games changelog at superbearadventure.com, up to version 13.0.8, the build now on Google Play.

The way you buy them changed in July 2026, so older guides that send you to the DJ Pierre area need a second look.

Quick answer: You get Summer Bear and Rapper Bear by buying Pierre Music Kit Vol.1, sold since Update 13.0 as a bundle at Capitalos' shop (the blue one) in Bear Village. Summer Bear has a surfboard, flip-flops, a flowery shirt and a shark tooth necklace. Rapper Bear has a hoodie, glasses, a golden watch and a giant gold necklace.

What Is in Summer Bear and Rapper Bear?

The changelog for version 11.0.0, dated April 5, 2024, lists both outfits in detail. The table below sets them side by side.

Summer BearSurfboard, flip-flops, flowery shirt, shark tooth necklaceWorking surfboard
Rapper BearHoodie, stylish glasses, golden watch, giant gold necklaceGiant gold necklace

Table source: official changelog for version 11.0.0 at superbearadventure.com.

The developer slipped a joke into the Rapper Bear line, noting the giant necklace "must be really heavy to carry". The Sheriff Bear entry has the same humor, with the developer admitting they do not know how the sheriff summons tumbleweeds.

Does the Summer Bear Surfboard Really Work?

The changelog says working surfboard, meaning it does more than sit there as decoration. That is what sets Summer Bear apart from an ordinary beach outfit.

Even so, the changelog does not explain how to use it, or whether it works only in water or in certain levels. That line is also the only mention of a surfboard in the entire changelog, so no later change or fix is on record.

One thing to watch: version 12.0.3 disabled the muscle car cosmetic in missions and speedruns, and the tumbleweed cosmetic in speedruns. The surfboard is not on that list, but that does not guarantee it works in every mode, so try it in the mode you play.

How to Get Them After Update 13.0

At launch, PMK Vol.1 was bought at the DJ Pierre show, a new area in Bear Village. Since Update 13.0, "The Bundles Update" of July 20, 2026, the kit has been a bundle bought at Capitalos' shop, the blue one.

Do not confuse it with Grannytalus. The new shopkeeper handles the items shop and lootboxes, while bundles are at Capitalos' shop.

The changelog gives no price. The US Google Play listing only shows an in-app purchase range of $1.99 to $4.99 per item, so confirm the bundle's price on the shop screen before paying. This is real money, so younger players should ask a parent first.

Bought It but It Is Not Showing Up?

Several purchase issues have been fixed in recent updates, so start by making sure you are on version 13.0.8. Version 13.0.3 fixed bundles bought on save B or C not unlocking on all saves.

Version 13.0.7 also fixed issues related to in-app purchasing. Version 13.0.4, meanwhile, closed off in-app purchases and shops in speedrun mode, so it is normal if the shop will not open there.

Note that version 13.0.7 raised the minimum requirement to Android 7.1, so older phones below that cannot follow the latest updates.

Mixing Styles and the Music Bonus

You do not have to wear a full outfit. Version 11.0.0 introduced an item compatibility system that lets you equip multiple items on each body part. You could try the Summer Bear flowery shirt with the Rapper Bear golden watch, as long as the two items are compatible.

The same version added saving outfits and sharing them with friends, plus undo, redo, randomize and clear tools. Update 13.0 reworked the customization area with a new interface, preset outfits and a search tool, which makes items quicker to find.

The kit also brings four new songs composed by Pierre Thibault. You can listen to them at the DJ Pierre show in Bear Village, and DJ Pierre himself can be saved in Turtletown.
