INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto said the synergy of the manufacturing industry with digital economy is mutually beneficial. The advantages of such relations include easing production and expanding markets.

It was submitted Airlangga when describing the direction of the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) Chamber of Commerce in 2017 on four clusters of industry and trade in Jakarta, Tuesday (10/03/2017).

Previously, Airlangga revealed, the platform for the digital and manufacturing industries is needed. This is for efficiency and effectiveness of work and simplify the process of repair or service. "The development of the manufacturing sector to become an important digital platform as the latest technological advances and the undergo of Industry era 4.0. Moreover, the government is targeting Indonesia the country with the largest digital economy in ASEAN in 2020," he added.

As is known, the contribution of the digital industry to the national economy rose an average of 10 percent per year. In addition, the Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo) estimates the potential of digital industry in Indonesia in 2020 could reach US $ 130 billion.
