Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita said the total transactions reached US $ 1.344 billion is quite good when compared with the acquisition of TEI 2016 transactions reached US $ 1.02 billion, where there is a 31.3% increase.

"The total transaction to date, 1.344 billion US dollars, rose 31.3 percent compared to the total last year," said Enggartiasto in Jakarta, Wednesday (18/10/2017).

Enggar explained that the increase in total transactions in the implementation of TEI 2017 held at Indonesia Convention Exhibition, Bumi Serpong Damai City, South Tangerang, Banten, can not be separated from government efforts to bring potential buyers. Especially those originating from non-traditional export destination countries.

Visitors who arrived at the closing of TEI 2017 were 22,088 visitors from 113 countries. Potential buyers coming from non-traditional countries, including Africa, Eurasia, Middle East, South Asia, to South America. "It is starting to show up (the effort to open the export market to non-traditional countries) in TEI 2017," Enggar said.

In addition, the government's efforts to diversify its export products also began to be seen from the products that buyers were interested in at the annual exhibition. Some of these products include coal, coffee, beverage, automotive and its components, CPO, processed foods, electronic and electrical products, agricultural products, essential oils and cosmetics.

In terms of long-term business relations, at least 35 sign MoUs have been signed in 17 countries. The total agreement is worth US $ 228.02 million, or up US $ 20 million when compared to the purchase of MU TEI 2016 which amounted to US $ 207.9 million.

The highest transaction value is based on the order of the countries on the purchase mission of TEI 2017, namely Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Egypt, Thailand, Australia, India, Brazil, Belgium, USA, UK, Japan, Germany, Singapore, Spain, Nigeria, Taiwan, and Holland.

In addition, there is also a memorandum of understanding on the sale of coal to buyers from Laos for the Embassy's efforts in Vientiane, Laos for US $ 588 million or equivalent to Rp7, 82 trillion.
