INDUSTRY.co.id - Pangkalpinang - Minister of Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia, Rudiantara targets in 2019 all districts / cities have broadband connections, in order to dig up the positive information in the region.

"We ensure that districts throughout Indonesia are connected to broadband, so that people can easily spread positive information online," said Rudiantara in Pangkalpinang, Friday (27/10/2017)

He explained that the government is building a Palapa Ring fiber optic cable to accelerate broadband connectivity. Broadband is a wide range of frequencies used to send and receive data.

"We will continue to build infrastructure to connect districts and municipalities with good telecommunication services, because in fact a lot of positive and useful information in improving the economy of the community," he said.

Rudiantara said today many young people become entrepreneur, tokopedia, selling culinary and handicraft by utilizing information and communication technology.

"Currently the perpetrators of UMKM sell the products of food and handicraft through the site itself," he said.

He hopes this broadband connectivity can become a telecommunication service to connect all districts / cities throughout Indonesia, so that positive information is widely disseminated.

"We will solve all the social media that interfere, so this program can run well," he told the media crew.

The visit of Kominfo Minister of the Republic of Indonesia, Rudiantara and his entourage to attend the National Seminar of DPP Gemabudhi in Tangjung Pesona Sungailiat of Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province to invite the young generation to fight social media and negative content that will divide the unity of this nation.
