INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asserted, that Hajj Fund is a fund of people, not government funds.

Although there is now a Hajj Financial Management Agency (BKH) that will manage the funds, the President reminded that caution in the use should be prudent, and must refer to existing legislation.

"The important thing is not to contradict the existing legislation," President Jokowi told reporters after attending the Lebaran Betawi X, held at Betawi Cultural Village Center, in Setu Babakan, Jakarta, South, Sunday (30/7/2017).

Regarding the use of the Haj funds for infrastructure projects, President Jokowi explained that it is just an example of himself. The President invites if the Hajj funds are used for Sukuk, or placed in sharia banks.

"It's a lot of stuff. Please put in the sharia businesses, but remember it is a people's fund. Whether used for sukuk, whether infrastructure, whether used for in Islamic banks, everything must be with caution, once again this is the fund of the people," said President.

But if put in places that provide good benefits for Muslims, for those who have funds because it funds the ummah, and also serves for other statehood for the country, the President considers it better.

"But once again everything must be calculated carefully, it needs to be carefully calculated. Everything must be calculated, everything must be calculated, everything must follow the existing legislation, there is already the Haj Financial Management Board, so it must really calculated calculated," said the President.
