Priyanto explained, with the technology, it takes a large enough land to accommodate sea water that will be crystallized in four days. "Optimal land required is 400 hectares, 2 reservoirs, evaporation takes 300 hectares, it is optimum, for example there are only 15 hectares, it is not optimum if land expansion to NTT is more possible," he said.

On the other hand, Deputy of Agro Industry and Biotechnology Technology of BPPT, Eniya L. Dewi added, in an area of ​​15,000 ha, farmers will be able to produce 500,000 tons of salt per year. Thus, in the future the government does not need to import salt anymore.
