INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) appreciates the government's move to reduce tariffs for toll roads for logistics.
However, Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Carmelita Hartoto reminded that toll is an option that if passed, then the user will feel the efficiency.
To that end, he hopes that the existence of tolls and the generosity of the tariff does not rule out the construction of the main road so that the road can still function.
"One of the primary road functions should be running smoothly, especially in certain areas of origin and destination," said Carmelita in Jakarta (29/3/2018).
Carmelita also hopes the government can provide a primary arterial road, which is destined for traffic and does not interfere with local traffic. The existence of primary arterial roads is believed to ensure the smooth transportation of logistics.
"The need for assertiveness related to the availability of arterial road (not paid) which is used as a primary highway to maintain the smooth transportation, if for a while to build roads, toll road scenarios are allowed, provided the idea of continuous traffic is maintained," she concluded.
