INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said that operational activities including import and export activities in Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, are still running smoothly despite the strike action of PT Jakarta International Container Terminal (SP JICT) Workers Union.

The strike action has begun on Thursday (3/8) to 10 August.

"Alhamdulillah yesterday the operation is still running well, we expect the operation to continue," Budi said when reviewing the Jabodebek LRT project on Jagorawi toll road side, Jakarta, Friday (4/8/2017)

Budi claimed the problem of SP demands to the company will be submitted to both parties because they do not have the authority to intervene.

He said the Ministry of Transportation will only ensure port services continue to run well despite problems in internal corporations.

"Therefore we are communicating with existing stakeholders through syahbandar, so there is one cooperation from the JICT team that still exists, with the companies that are there," he said.

Budi added that until the second day of the strike, there has been no reports on the flow of goods in the Port of Tanjung Priok. Similarly, reports of complaints from companies.

Former President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) asked the parties who feel difficulty or obstacle due to strike SP JICT to report to him.

"Please meet me, I will 'all out' (service as much as possible) because the service is a vital object, the government must intervene, baseball service can be disturbed, we guarantee it is done well," he said.

Furthermore, Budi urged SP JICT to immediately stop the strike action and can focus on public service.

"I urge SP also to stop the strike, it's a vital place, it's better not to strike," he said.

The strike action was carried out by SP to demand the rights of employees sslaligus because the company is said to have violated the contract of collective labor agreement (PKB), employee bonus payment received in 2016 which decreased 42.5 percent compared to bonus in the previous year. The decline occurred because JICT's PBT (Profit Before Tax) decreased from 66.3 million US dollars in 2015 to 44.2 million US dollars in 2016.

Action is also done to demand the rescue of national assets JICT in order to be managed nation of the nation.
