President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana Visit the Al-Ittifaq Kopontren Agricultural Area

Thepresidentpost.id - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo visited the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School Cooperative (Kopontren) in Rancabali District, Bandung Regency, West Java, on Monday (06/03/2023). 

Arriving at the location at 10.00 WIB, President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana were greeted by marawis and chanting selawat badar.

The Head of State and Mrs. Iriana then visited the agricultural area of ​​the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School, guided by the Head of the Al-Ittifaq Kopontren, KH Agus Setia Irawan. 

The review starts from the warehouse for sorting agricultural products (warehouse) , planting areas, to greenhouses (greenhouses) planted with various commodities such as dekopon oranges, melons, strawberries, to green vegetables.

"This morning I entered Al-Ittifaq, I really felt very impressed, surprised that there is an Islamic boarding school that has good management in its agricultural business," said the President in a dialogue session with farmers and the community.

The President also appreciated the management at the Al-Ittifaq Kopontren which was very neat and well-planned. According to the President, with this system and management, market demand for agricultural products can be met by the Al-Ittifaq Kopontren.

"It does not depart from production but departs from market demand, market demand, then it is produced around Islamic boarding schools, and its management, how to organize it is really very well planned so that market demand is always there," he explained.

During the review, the President also saw a pilot of sheep and chicken in the Al-Ittifaq Kopontren. The President also picked dekopon oranges and figs in one of the greenhouses.

Also accompanying the President and Mrs. Iriana in the review were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki, West Java Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna, and Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School Leader KH Dandan Mudawarul Fallah.
