INDUSTRY.co.id - Nusa Dua - The Government of Indonesia is seeking a trade-tariff-related settlement with countries in the African continent in the midst of both sides seeking to boost economic cooperation.

"The obstacle is the tariff problem because there is no trade agreement yet, we are doing it again," said Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita on the sidelines of the Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) at BNDCC, Nusa Dua, Badung regency, Bali, Tuesday (10/4/2018)

According to him, cooperation between Indonesia and Africa has great potential to grow because many commodities are mutually needed by both parties.

"From the strategic industries they also need but on the other hand Indonesia also needs some raw materials from them," said Enggartiasto.

However, Enggartiasto has not yet confirmed the settlement of tariff-related trade between Indonesia and Africa to be decided in this first forum.
