"We are delivering, but in the context of the 'irregular movement of person' as it is beginning to emerge, the first one ship goes to Malaysia, the second is the ship of 76 refugees entering Indonesia," the foreign minister said in an explanation to the press in Singapore on Friday (28/4 / 2018) after accompanying the President of the Republic of Indonesia during a dinner of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and the ASEAN Leaders Plenary.

According to Retno, the issue of Rohingya refugees should be widely seen because in addition to their situation at home in Rakhine, Myanmar, they are often the victims of trafficking and dangerous travel.

"So, again Indonesia offers cooperation to 'address' the issue of 'trafficking in person', including in the place of origin of the country," she said.

Earlier on Friday afternoon, President Joko Widodo held a bilateral meeting with Myanmar's new president, Win Mynth, and reiterated that the Burmese government implement 88 recommendations of the Advisory Committee for Rakhine State which includes 17 elements.

According to the Foreign Minister, during the bilateral meeting, President Jokowi also reiterated Indonesia's commitment to help Myanmar implement the recommendations of the commission chaired by Kofi Annan, especially in achieving inclusive development in Rakhine.

The Minister also conveyed the possibility of discussing Rohingya issues in the ASEAN Retreat Meeting on Saturday (4/28/2018)

"I would not be 'surprise' if it would appear because every leader has issues to be raised," she said.

Previously, various parties have called on ASEAN leaders to produce strong and collective statements to address the humanitarian crisis of Rohingya, among others from the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) and the ASEAN Parliament on Human Rights (APHR).

However, so far there are only three outcome documents to be agreed upon by ASEAN leaders, the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN), ASEAN Leaders 'Statement on Cyber ​​Security Cooperation, and ASEAN Leaders' Vision for aa Resilient and Innovative ASEAN. (Ant)
