INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta-President Joko Widodo stated that infrastructure development must be risen to support processing industry in Central Java.

“ Central Java  is on of the province in indonesia that the economic structure supported by industry, especially processing industry,” Said Mr. President Joko Widodo when opening the limited meeting (ratas) in president office Jakarta, Tuesday (28/2/2017)

That limited meeting talked about the National strategic project evaluation and priority program in Central Java Province

“Processing industry is one of the largest ecomomy contributors in Central Java with  the contribution that reach 34,8 percent that following by agricultural sector 15 percent. To support the growth of industrial and tourism sector in Central Java, i requested several things to become the attention of ministers in charge and Central Java Governor.” President added

Besides that 2 leading sector, president thinks that  tourism sector are need to be more developed so somehow could be a driving machine in Central Java.

The first thing is the acceleration of infrastructure and transportation development from the Trans Jawa Toll, Double railway line, expansion of Ahmad Yani airport, Tanjung Mas port development, and integrated logistics transportation route with port, "said President.

The second thing to note is the acceleration of the development of new industrial areas that are more integrated.

"When I met the Singapore Prime Minister in Kendal, I believe that the industrial Area in Kendal has a very good prospect for the future and will be the driving force of Central Java's economy, we have to prepare well in terms of licensing, employment, Toll roads and ports, as well as other support\ing infrastructure such as electricity and water supply, "explained by the President.

Based on Presidential Regulation (Perpres) no. 3 years 2016 on the Acceleration of the Implementation of the National Strategic Project established on 8 January 2016, there are 17 national strategic projects in Central Java, namely (1) Pejagan-Pemalang Toll Road (58 kilometers), (2) Pemalang - Batang Toll Road (39 kilometers) , (3) Batang Toll Road - Semarang (75 kilometers).

(4) Semarang-Solo Toll Road (73 kilometers), (5) Solo-Ngawi Toll Road (90 kilometers), (6) "double track" of South Java covering the provinces of West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta and East Java, (7) Achmad Yani Airport Development, (8) Upgrading of existing refineries (RDMP), (9) Construction of LNG mini refinery and LNG-LNCG station in Java Island.

(10) Municipal Energy Infrastructure Project Waste of big cities, (11) Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) West Semarang and regional Wasusokas, (12) Gondang Dam, (13) Pidekso Dam, (14) Logung Dam, (15) ) Bener Dam, (16) Randugunting Dam, (17) Development of Industrial Area Priority / Special Economic Area Kendal.
