An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale shook the city of Padang, West Sumatra, Sunday at 10:08 pm that the vibrations are felt strong enough and make people scatter out of the house.
Based on information from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) Padangpanjang, the epicenter was located at 3.75 South Latitude, 101.56 East Longitude or 71 kilometers southwest of Bengkulu Utara with a depth of 10 kilometers.
