INDUSTRY co.id - Kendal, The existence of PT Tat Wai Industries became the first company to operate in Kendal Industrial Estate (KIK) since last August 2016. Director of PT Tat Wai Industries, Hay Kok Choy revealed, in general infrastructure facilities are in the process of working.
According to him it is so far still in the level of fairness and not so disturbing the company's operations, he believes KIK will become a modern industrial area of international standard.
The man from Singapore hopes that infrastructure facilities can be pursued by the manager, Jababeka and Sembrop. Facilities that are needed immediately is the water treatment and power plant as a vital infrastructure that must exist so that the company's production is not disturbed.
"Infrastructure already exists, only if it can be repaired again it will attract more investors to come in. The production process is not disturbed," said Hay Kok Choy, Thursday (8/12).
In relation to land prices of Rp 1.6 million per square meter assessed, local entrepreneurs are too expensive, according to Hay Kok, the cost is deemed to be commensurate with the planned development of KIK that will be used as an international industrial park.
"Not too expensive (expensive-red) because later KIK will be managed better, especially the facilities.If compared to other industrial areas exactly with the facilities to be given the price is still worth it," he said.
He explained, the reason for business expansion to Indonesia, because in the country of origin Singapore is difficult to find new land, if any there is very expensive. In addition, Indonesia has a lot of human resources (HR) of wood with a skill that qualified according to company expectations.
Kendal Industrial Park was chosen as the location of the establishment of the company because the industrial area is managed by Sembcorp which incidentally in Singapore is a state-owned company. It is what makes him sure that KIK will be well managed and have high investment value.
"We believe that KIK will be managed well from infrastructure to its management.In our country Sembcorp is a very well-known state-owned enterprise, possibly also among international businessmen," he said.
PT Tat Wai itself is an interior decoration company from Singapore who worked on special projects to customer's order since 1982.
The company supplies furniture for local projects, maritime industry and provides support for Singapore operations such as cruise ship interiors, ferries, hotels and condominiums.
