INDUSTRY.co.id - Cirebon - Head of Representative Office of Bank Indonesia Cirebon, West Java, encourages SMEs to utilize "e-commerce" in the sale of their products, in order to further develop and follow the times.
"We see in the dynamics of the current economy that is growing very quickly is leading to e-commerce," said Chief Representative Office of Bank Indonesia Cirebon, Abdul Majid Ikram in Cirebon, Thursday (19/10/2017)
According to him, business players including SMEs should utilize the technology today, because with the online trade it is more efficient and also cheaper in promotion.
Majid said the digital trading model should not be ignored, because if ignored, then business actors will be left behind by the rapidly growing technology.
In Cirebon itself, Majid said, already seen a trend to market their products through online, it can be seen from the discussion that young people are also heading in that direction.
"We also encourage entrepreneurs who already exist either small or large micro scale in Cirebon to see this e-commerce platform as a sales system that needs to be tried and utilized," he said.
"In my opinion first efficient, because it can cut in the costs incurred when the conventional market," he said.
To that end, Bank Indonesia provides insight to entrepreneurs in the Cirebon region about marketing online.
"This should not be ignored, therefore Bank Indonesia initiative to provide insight to business actors in various fields, to be able to practice online marketing," he said again.
