The platform has a flagship program that has been running since last year in cooperation with hundreds of high schools across Indonesia.
Facebook is working with the non-profit organization Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB) to provide education or education to young people to be more careful when sharing various things on Facebook.
The program also equips young people with critical thinking skills and the ability to have a sense of empathy when using social media.
The world's largest social media also works with the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to provide a series of educational tips for finding fake news.
"The public service announcements Bawaslu and Ministry of information, will appear in the near future, in the print media about tips on finding hoaxes," Ruben said.
In addition, Facebook collects more than 100 journalists and publishers in Indonesia in the activities of Facebook Journalism Project.
In the one-day event, participants meet up with the Facebook team and share information in overcoming misleading information and fake news.
Facebook is also holding a third party fact checker who aims to empower Indonesians to make better informed decisions about what is good for them to read, trust and share with others.
