INDUSTRY.co.id - Five key technologies that support the implementation of Industry 4.0, namely Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Human Machine Interface, robotics and sensor technology, and 3D Printing technology.

For the initial implementation of Industry 4.0, Indonesia will focus on five manufacturing sectors, namely food and beverage industry, textile and clothing industry, automotive industry, chemical industry, and electronics industry.

"This sector is selected after an evaluation of the economic impact and implementation feasibility criteria covering the size of GDP, trade, potential impact on other industries, investment size, and market penetration speed," he explained.

In addition, Making Indonesia 4.0 contains 10 cross-sectoral national initiatives to accelerate the development of manufacturing industry in Indonesia.

These ten initiatives include improving the flow of goods and materials, building a comprehensive and cross-industry industrial zone map, accommodating sustainability standards, empowering small and medium industries, and building national digital infrastructure.

Then, attract foreign investment, human resource quality improvement, innovation ecosystem development, incentives for technology investment, and harmonization of rules and policies.

"With the real benefits, Indonesia is committed to implement Making Indonesia 4.0 and make it a national agenda," he said.

In the IIS 2018 event, which will be attended by 1,200 participants from various stakeholders, there will also be discussions on concept socialization, potential and readiness of the implementation of Industry 4.0 in the five pilot sectors. In addition, it features thematic exhibitions that present the pioneering industry in the implementation of Industry 4.0.
