INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Minister of Communications and Informatics Rudiantara called the Indonesian Facebook platform related to the indication of a leak of one million user data from Indonesia in the case of "Cambridge Analytica".

"Today comes Indonesia one million, so I want to make sure of that," Rudiantara said in – Ministry of Communications and Informatics Building, Jakarta, Thursday, before meeting with the Facebook.

Through the meeting, the MoCI will ask for certainty about the number of Indonesian users' data being leaked in the case of the political consulting firm, especially after Facebook claims the misused data grew to 87 million from 50 million.

Two weeks ago it has communicated with Facebook to ask whether there is a user from Indonesia to be part of 50 million data misuse.

According to Rudiantara, at that time he got an indication there is a misuse of Facebook user data from Indonesia, but the amount is not yet known.

"I got an indication there, but the amount is not certain then, so I chase it all the way until this morning," he said.

Minister of Communications and Informatics will also check what features should not and may be in Indonesia to protect the people who want to use social media.

In addition to meeting with Facebook, it also coordinates with the Police if necessary for further action.

"I have also coordinated with the police about this case because of its action if in the virtual world Ministry of Communications and Informatics, if in the real world law enforcement or police," said Rudiantara.

In an official upload on blogs, Facebook technology senior Mike Schroepfer said most of the 87 users whose data are used by Cambridge Analytica are US users.
