INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Minister of Industry (Menperin) Airlangga Hartarto believes, the implementation of Industry 4.0 can accelerate the vision target of Indonesia gold 2045.

He added that economic improvement in the country, also seen from four aspects during the last 15 years. First, the labor population increased by more than 30 million, which was propped up by a doubling in salaries.

Second, consumption growth also increased eightfold, which currently accounts for 55 percent of GDP.

Thirdly, our investment aspect is extraordinarily increasing, up 13-fold, which also increased against donation to GDP from 22 percent to 34 percent. Lastly, we see from the capitalization of the stock market increased 15-fold, now its capitalization reaches USD500 billion, he explained.

Therefore, continued Menperin, political and security stability becomes an important factor in creating a conducive business climate.

"Furthermore, improving the level of education is also an answer to the needs of national industries in having competent human resources according to current developments in the era of Industrial 4.0," Airlangga said.

Menperin also optimistic, successful implementation of Making Indonesia 4.0 will be able to encourage real GDP growth of 1-2 percent per year, so that GDP growth per year will increase from 5 percent to 6-7 percent in the period 2018-2030.

"From that achievement, the manufacturing industry will contribute 21-26 percent to GDP by 2030," he said.

Furthermore, GDP growth will be driven by a significant rise in net exports, where Indonesia is estimated to reach 5-10 percent of the ratio of net exports to GDP by 2030.

In addition to the increase in productivity, Making Indonesia 4.0 promises to open employment of 7-19 million people, both in manufacturing and non-manufacturing in 2030 as a result of greater demand for exports.

In achieving these targets, the national industry needs a lot of improvements, especially in aspects of technological mastery that becomes the key determinant of competitiveness, said Menperin.
