INDUSTRY.co.id - Bandung - One of the R & D units of the Ministry of Industry, Center for Materials and Technical Products (B4T) Bandung, has launched a lithium ion battery product called SuperB4Ttery. The battery which is the result of this research can be used as Power Bank for technology device with 7000 mAh capacity.
"B4T is paying attention to and understanding the increasingly diverse activities of the community and demanding the availability of instant energy, especially online social activities and online business in portable devices has become a lifestyle in urban communities," said B4T Chief, Budi Susanto in Bandung, Friday (4/8/2017).
According to Budi, instant energy needs are also higher especially in emergency conditions such as natural disasters. The reason is, when the condition, it takes electricity energy that is ready to use at any time. "Therefore, the research and development of lithium ion battery technology in B4T is implemented more intensively, which is why the B4T battery research laboratory was launched on May 20, 2016," he said.
In the implementation, continued Budi, the most crucial challenge in the battery industry today especially lithium ion batteries is the supply chain of raw materials and economical applications that are economical.
Furthermore, the ease of charging battery power in public spaces is fast and secure. For that, B4T is also doing research for the development of a powerful battery, reliable, durable and has a fast system in the process of recharging (recharging). This effort began with the holding of the National Industrial Seminar B4T with the theme 'Opportunities and Challenges National Energy Generating Battery Electricity Industry'.
"In addition to discussing the development of battery research in the country, in the seminar presents the latest standards used in the assessment of battery products and potential applications of battery technology in the world of transportation," said Budi.
In addition, in an effort to improve research cooperation, development and engineering (litbangyasa), B4T signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), namely with Sebelas Maret State University, PT. Core Power Multipresisi and PT. Ceprindo.
Budi hopes, the benefits of this research will be more felt if the use of batteries used as electricity storage reserves that can be applied also on housing, industry, projects and businesses so that community activities or users can run smoothly without any obstacle in terms of electricity supply.
During a working visit to B4T in August 2016, the Minister of Industry of Airlangga Hartarto requested that B4T research be encouraged to support the development of the mobile component industry. "We continue to encourage that smartphones can be produced domestically, in Indonesia alone there are about 60 million. For that, we hope there are incentives raw materials are exempt from taxes so that
Driven the Manufacturing, "said Minister of Industry.
