INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Director General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Ismail said, as many as three frequency bands prepared for 5G services in the future, ie 3.5 GHz, 26 GHz and 28 GHz.
"So it's a 3.5 GHz, 26 GHz and 28 GHz bands and we follow the world deal," said Ismail in Jakarta, Monday (04/16/2010).
Ismail said, the frequency band for the 5G service follows the world agreement, so that Indonesia can not determine its own. If it is different from the world deal, special tools are needed and will cost a lot.
"We want our devices the same cheap devices used by other countries, the quantities being produced are huge so the cost is cheaper," Ismail said.
There is also a 5G service used for "mission critical" or that requires a very low pause, ie between the transcript communication and the CPU faster.
Ismail said the use of 5G services will start from the industry, for example to support the industry's 4.0 owned by the government.
"The device in the industry 4.0 it can only operate well later if equipped with 5G technology," he said.
He said 5G service has not started because it is still in the process of finalization to be launched commercially first in the global arena.
