INDUSTRY.co.id - Singapore - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto said there is no country capable of solving cyber and terrorism threats by itself.

"No single 'single state' alone can cope with cyber threats, it is impossible. It needs regional and global cooperation to cope with cyber and terrorism threats," said Coordinating Minister Wiranto on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit in Singapore on Saturday (28/4 / 2018)

"So always when we go abroad, to a country, in order to discuss the national security of each country, we always talk about regional and global security because we have to work together," said Wiranto.

He asserted himself every visit to other countries, it talked about how all parties jointly handle cyber security.

According to him, the cyber threat is the same as terrorism. The cyber threat does not recognize national borders and it does not comply with any country's regulations.

"He can be cross country so there is no 'single state' which alone can cope with cyber threats, impossible, like terrorism," said Wiranto.

He asserted that when officials in the Ministry of Political and Security Affairs went abroad to a country in order to discuss the national security of each country, always talked about regional and global security because the handling of the problem requires cooperation.

"I just came back from Russia, before I went to Singapore to follow the President's entourage to the ASEAN meeting," he said.

He said the talks on a visit to Russia were also a matter of global security, as well as talk of terrorism and cyber threats.

According to him, when talking about global security, it can not be separated from two things, namely how to fight "cyber attack" and fight terrorism.

"In Indonesia, we are also facing the development of 'cyber space' which can indeed lead to threats if we do not handle it well," said Wiranto.
