Fachry said late this August his side will develop a team to conduct exporting to Qatar, after last week's meeting with about 73 entrepreneurs interested in conducting trade missions.

Among the entrepreneurs, there are also six SOEs including PT Semen Indonesia and a number of state-owned construction.

"Qatar desperately need construction-related goods because they are building for the 2022 World Cup. But because there is a blockade, they need building materials and foodstuffs.The Turkish directly exports to the airplane, why not take that opportunity too? , "He said.

Hendra Hartono, President of the Indonesia-Qatar Business Council, said the potential for exports to Qatar is enormous considering that the country is in development to support the 2022 World Cup.

"For the 2022 World Cup, they are preparing 22 billion US dollars to build a stadium facility, five of which will be built, it needs iron materials, cement in Indonesia, that we strive for our products can be included," he said.

With conditions embargoed from neighboring countries, Indonesia's opportunity to export other needs is also a way of encouraging exports.

"There are 10 items they need and they are informed to us such as paper, ready made food, inner shirts, sewing machines, briquettes, fresh fish, chicken cuts as well as medicines that are outside of the main products normally exported," he said.

Efforts to boost exports are encouraged to continue to be done so that the value does not plummet, especially with the crisis that plagued the country.

"If there is no breakthrough, the value can be lower, so we want a breakthrough, give solution to expand export and serve other," said Hendra.

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and Egypt sever diplomatic ties with Qatar because of the country's relations with Iran and the assumption that both countries support terrorist groups aimed at disrupting the Gulf, in particular Qatar's links with the Muslim Brotherhood considered threatened by the four countries.
