INDUSTRY.co.id -Jakarta- Founder of online travel agent Ticket.com Gaery Undarsa stressed the importance of keeping company ownership 100 percent Indonesian for pride.

"We just want to invest from Indonesia," he said in the celebration of the 6th anniversary of Tiket.com in Jakarta on Thursday (24/08/2017)

He said that until now the first online travel agency in Indonesia has nearly 300 employees who are all from Indonesia.

When Blibli.com e-commerce which is part of the Djarum group acquires Tiket.com in June 2017, Gaery admits to seeing opportunities and opportunities with great resources and shared vision.

The acquisition of Blibli.com, he said, can make growth measurable, larger and supportive to become an integrated platform in Indonesia.

Gaery said he is optimistic to achieve the growth target of 2.5 times in 2017 with the corporate action of both companies.

"The limited resources are now significant, and the 6th anniversary starts to work as if it were a starting point," he said.

It will finalize the collaboration and synchronization that runs and develops both companies so as to meet the needs of Indonesian consumers.

Gaery assessed the business opportunity of online travel agency is still big, especially if supported by government regulation.
