INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- The Government of Indonesia will provide pilot (startup) flexibility in conducting innovation experiments in conducting business utilizing digital technology.

"It means that the first, 'start up' should not or should not be strangled with excessive regulations," said President Joko Widodo in the opening speech of IDByte 2017 International Level Digital Conference in Jakarta on Thursday (28/09/2017)

According to the President, he has ordered a number of ministers related to economics and technology to support business innovation through digital technology.

He explained the government has also announced economic deregulation to reduce the overlapping regulations and conditions that hamper business innovation.

In addition, the President asked government officials to be able to provide capital relief for the pilot.

"Secondly, there must be some experiments that fail and some will not work, which means we have to tolerate a lot of failures, it's okay, do not be shy, do not give up," said Jokowi.

The President also encouraged Indonesians to build local branded products business by utilizing the advancement of communication technology.

"Once a company is on the internet, it instantly appears around the world and that means a successful company on the internet can grow very fast and can become a giant in a very fast time," explained the President.
