INDUSTRY.co.id - Beijing- The National Movement of 1,000 Start-Up Digital involves Indonesian students in China who are interested in building the pilot company.
"You have to go back to Indonesia so that our country can move forward," said Kans Kreasi Indonesia Executive Director Yansen Kamto to students in Beijing on Saturday (7/4/2018)
The movement initiated by Kibar targeted 1,000 startups or "start-up" in Indonesia until 2020.
"Our target of 2015 is 1,000 start-ups, so we have 200 start-ups in incubation stage, we believe that the target will be fulfilled by 2020," he said at a seminar organized by the Indonesian Students and Students Association in China Permit) Beijing in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing.
According to him, business opportunities in the field of digital economy based "start-up" is still very wide open.
The digital economy in China, he called, has generated 200 billion US dollars, while Indonesia just recorded the results of 81 billion US dollars.
"There are six sectors whose market opportunities are so large that further handling is needed in the field of start up," he said.
Yansen mentioned that six sectors with the greatest opportunity are developed by "start-up" actors in Indonesia are agriculture, education, health, logistics, energy, and tourism.
To mobilize and promote the start-up, the government took Kibar, a company founded by Yansen to build technological ecosystems in Indonesia through capacity-building initiatives and incubation coaching.
"I am not getting paid by the government because there is already a legal agreement between me and Google There is not a single project from the government because I want to serve the government," he said.
Meanwhile, the Charge d'Affaires Ad-Interim of the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing Listyowati argue that the movement pioneered by Yansen is very appropriate in addressing the momentum of digital era.
"In the development of 'start-up' we can learn from China, such as policies that facilitate young entrepreneurs and college graduates to start a business," she said.
According to her, Indonesia can take advantage of opportunities that arise from China's economic revival.
"China is a country with a number of 'unicorns' (start-ups valued at more than $ 1 billion), the largest outside the United States," she said.
Listyowati then exemplified the Haidian District, Beijing, dubbed "Silicon Valley" of China in 2000 to become the center of electronic goods trade.
Electronic goods that are sold are foreign products assembled in China so it is not wrong if then the country gets the nickname as a copycat nation.
"But a few years later the Chinese government took a decision by changing 'made in China' to 'created in China'. The result is that the various start-up centers, investors and patent lawyers are growing in place of electronics-assembled goods stores, "he said.
She believes Indonesia will have global strength and become the largest base of digital economy in the Asia-Pacific region.
"Currently there are about 13 thousand Indonesian students in China, certainly many talents that boast so we do not waste it," said Listyowati. (Ant)
